Megadeth’s 15th album Dystopia is the first to feature Kiko Loureiro on guitar and Chris Adler on drums. The debut single ‘Fatal Illusion’ was released on 1st October 2015 after being teased on the Megadeth website in the days running up to it. 1st day was a drum track, second bass added, 3rd featured rhythm guitar and final day featured lead guitar overlaid.

The second single to be released from Dystopia was The Threat Is Real, which shipped with the cover version of FEAR’s Foreign Policy on the B-Side. Its release coincided with World Record Store Day and the band released a limited edition 12″ white vinyl on Nov 27th 2015.

Third single and title track came out in December and was greeted with fanfare from fans for bringing the Megadeth sound back to its roots.

Mid launch-week sales projections put the record on course for around 50,000 units sold in North America alone, Megadeth’s highest yield from a new release since the 2000s.
